Urban Management Centre (UMC) is a women-led organization that creates inclusive societies and sustainable cities. They work with local, state, and national governments, as well as marginalized and vulnerable communities to create resilient systems. Through consulting and capacity building for all stakeholders, they ensure that there is representation in all parts of the development process. The organization believes in integrated planning systems and has been working with city governments in India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Indonesia and several other countries. At the core of its work is the strong urge to bring about positive change in the lives of people by way of strengthening urban local governments.
End Poverty (EP) is a civil society organization, registered under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012, formed in 2009 with a purpose to contribute towards poverty reduction in India. The idea was to set up an organization that will understand the underlying issues and will collaboratively address them to maximize the impact at ground level.
PSSP is a registered charitable organization dedicated to the integrated development of marginalized groups such as women, children, farmers, scheduled castes, tribes, minorities, and unemployed youth since 1978. They have been instrumental in forming and empowering People's Organizations at the grassroots level, including 1,755 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and 185 Mahilasamajams. These groups are further connected to federations at different administrative levels, along with 720 Farmers' groups, youth clubs, and Children's Clubs' Networks. PSSP provides continuous training to the leaders, while their animators and coordinators support and monitor the organizations' activities. Active participation in monthly meetings further strengthens the impact of their work.
Bengal Badminton Academy (BBA) is a registered trust established in January 2008 by players and professionals. Its aim is to promote Badminton in West Bengal, offering training facilities to players from neighboring states. It subsidizes the underprivileged to pursue Badminton. With seven branches and around 400 trainees, BBA conducts training programs and tournaments to groom new talent and provide exposure to budding players. The trust relies on donations and fees from players for funding its activities.
S M Sehgal Foundation has been working since 1999 to improve the quality of life of the rural communities in India. As a rural development NGO, established as a public, charitable trust, Sehgal Foundation has a skilled and dedicated team that creates sustainable programs to address rural India’s most pressing needs: Sehgal Foundation has five main program areas: Water Management, Agriculture Development, Local Participation and Sustainability, Transform Lives one school at a time, and Outreach for Development. Dilasa is an organisation dedicated to rural development. It is working in 3,664 villages of Marathwada, Vidarbha and the North Maharashtran region. Dilasa is working in the water and livelihood sectors in 24 districts of Maharashtra. It is the only organisation which had implemented watershed development projects in 3 lakh hectares of land with ridge to valley approach.
UBL has partnered with Dilasa for its Safe Drinking Water and Water Conservation Programme as well as the Watershed Management Project in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Prayas Youth Foundation is an NGO working for the betterment of Environment by adopting scientific and modern techniques of afforestation in the state of Maharashtra. PYF is promoting indigenous species in plantation projects for better impact on ecology and enhancement of rich biodiversity since 2010. They are also engaged in other environmental activities like water conservation, save birds campaign, native species nursery initiative and Agroforestry.
PYF has collaborated with UBL to implement Project Oxygen Hub to develop a dense urban forest using Miyawaki technique at Aurangabad, Maharasthra.
Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a Non –government, Socio- technical Development organization working in the field of Natural Resource Management since 1966. AFPRO supplements Government interventions and works along with the Government agencies to provide technical assistance in implementing environmentally sound programmes in water and sanitation, food production, livelihood generation and other similar projects.
AFPRO has partnered with UBL to implement Integrated Water Resource Management projects in Neelmangala, Karnataka and Sangareddy Telangana.
